Travelling is something which leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller. We all have that secret diary, a to-do list or our mind, where we store all the places we wish to travel to. Travelling is a passion, a sort of meditation which drives different people to explore and find new dimensions of the world. Now, when we plan trips with our family and friends, there are certain experiences which are left unexplored. I think that travelling alone is the best catalyst which leads to personal growth:
1. Discovering Yourself
You discover a lot about yourself while travelling alone. Solo travelling helps expurgate all your boundaries and makes you go beyond your limits. Travelling makes you go to unknown places where you can just find yourself. You just may awaken a more curious and better part of yours and in time find what you really want to do in your life. When you travel to unknown places, you find yourself. Moreover, you make new memories which play an important part for your overall development as an individual. When you push out of your comfort zone to explore the world, you will learn and grow simultaneously.
2. Becoming independent
Solo travelling means independence. You can go wherever you want to and do whatever you want to. Usually when we travel along with someone, we need to develop a sense of responsibility for them. But here, you are the master of your actions. It turns out that freedom is the main reason that you choose to travel alone. Travelling alone gets you out of your comfort zone, it makes you your own guide and most importantly, you don’t have to rely on anyone else. We travel to the same places everyday but different roads are certainly needed to find oneself in the end. You will make decisions spontaneously which will make you enjoy your freedom even more. Of course, you are going to make mistakes, but who doesn’t.
